How To Earn Seeds (Learning Credits)

I feel really blessed to have you in our ‘green tribe’. You, your journey, and your dream destination are special to me.

Even in the best of worlds, reaching your final dream destination is going to be a bumpy journey. I don’t want money to be one of the many bumps you’ll have to navigate. Therefore, I will do my utmost best to help you fill, and avoid the money pothole. It’s my way of saying thank you for choosing herbology to make this world a better, healthier and greener place.

You earn learning credits simply by studying regularly, completing modules, and completing courses within the allotted time from enrolling.

In addition, you can earn BONUS learning credits (Seeds) by reviewing the courses you’ve enrolled in.

Visit your My Achievements dashboard to view your progress.

The Five Seed Rules

#1: To be eligible for the seeds associated with a masterclass or course you have to earn the associated certificate within the following time frames:
– Mini-masterclasses within two weeks from enrolling.
– Masterclasses within three weeks from enrolling.
– Courses within four weeks from enrolling.

#2: To earn the BONUS seeds you have to review a course within the allotted time.

#3: Seeds can not be redeemed on courses or bundles that are on Sale or in conjunction with a Coupon Code. Also, with the exception of The Budding Herbologist, when enrolling in any course on Sale, or a Course Bundle, or when using a coupon, you forfeit the associated Seeds. This is because courses on sale and coupons already have the learning credits built into them.

#4: You can enrol and complete modules and courses in any order, but you can only unlock levels and their associated Seeds once you’ve completed the lower levels.

#5: Seeds (Learning Credits) is a virtual Herb Academy ‘currency‘ and are therefore not transferable and not refundable.

Alumni: The seed program only applies to courses you’ve enrolled in after 16 March 2020.

Pause and Reflect

  1. What do you think? Why am I only making these “scholarships” available to those who have shown that they are serious about learning more about herbology?
  2. How will the Seeds program (learning credits) help you on your own journey to take better care of yourself, your family, and those you choose the serve? Don’t just think of the monetary savings. And don’t be shy. Scroll down and Leave a Reply (comment). I’d love to hear your views.

I like that my B.Sc. with a botany/chemistry double major gets me a course credit. How does that work?

Also, I have been studying herbalism on my own for 20 years, and have even designed some courses. Perhaps we could trade one of my courses for free registration in some of yours. We could possibly even work out a royalty situation where I provide a course and you give me a percentage of registration fees. What do you think?

Question. Will the seeds from Budding Herbologist be redeemable against the Professional Family Herbalist – Complete 12 in 1 Course Bundle?
Seeds serve as motivation to stick to the work and engage with it in a meaningful way.

I think that you offering the seed program to people with interest in herbalism will allow them to understand and appreciate the importance of this course and way of life. As for me, I’m excited to “have my foot in the door” to take advantage of a generous offer and be one step closer to achieving knowledge and practices for the future.

I thinking that you are offering the seed program to allow people to experience the endless possibilities of herbalism and realizing that this is something that is definitely worth moving forward with. For me, the offer of being able to “get my foot in the door” and knowing that I’m now committed is an exciting concept.

Firstly, Thank you SO much for making the Budding Herbologist course available for free!!! I am beyond excited to learn more about herbs and use it for good, and would financially not have been able to start without your kindness. I also love that you incorporate the Bible in your teachings!

    1. The ‘Scholarship’ or seeds program is a great motivator to keep going without wasting time, and may prove who is truly serious about herbology. Most people start strong but with time the excitement often fades and so does the commitment to actually follow through and complete the course. For me, the seeds program will motivate me to complete the course and thus reach my goals much quicker.

    2. The seeds program will assist me greatly by helping me get to the place much faster where I will be able to serve others in the way I believe God purposed for me.

The learning credits (seed program) is really a great help for me as I am always looking for ways to expand my learning on health and wellness and coming from a third world country doesn’t always make that possible. Aside from the courses being not available locally, the monetary burden is heavy. By offering this structured course on herbs on a learning credit basis – you are making it possible for other learners like me to be able to study. Don’t you worry, I will pay it forward by doing all the best I can to impart whatever I learn to other people who are also on the same journey. Again, thank you very much. And more power!

This is a great program you have going! I especially like the fact that the scholarship is under time limit and that the learner has to do something in order to progress on the course or earn seed credits. Keeps us learners in line, motivated and accountable. More power!

I love the scholarship program you have going on! Its obviously ‘for serious customers’ only and that is a great way to see who really wants to be in the Green Tribe.

This program will help me tremendously. Not only because money is always tight as a single mom but it will keep me accountable to finish these lessons to better my knowledge and make me a more capable ‘healer’ for my community.

I think it’s an excellent method to ensure that the most benefit is reaped by those who consistently put in work and time.

For my personally, I’ve always been interested in learning about natures remedies and uses, but ever since my son was born in 2016 and I faced MANY health challenges, it has fueled that desire to learn even more so I can care for my family better and better!

I mean, herbalism/herbology is something I find myself continually drawn to, both for the benefits of it, but also out of pure fascination. Being able to earn a living with it honestly is just icing on the cake but far from the main point as to why I wish to learn and cultivate this skill

    1. Commitment and perseverance always pays off. A scholarship is earned and not just given, thus committing and completing the course shows intent and willingness to further education and contribution to promoting herbology.
    2. The Seeds program will assist in gaining further education in areas of interest without the financial burden being too overwhelming. I see it as a “paying if forward” action and a positive reward for committing and completing a journey started.

In this world, everything seems to be about collecting credits, points, or seeds. It’s like a game, collecting points to get to the next stage.. it’s just as it is. Its a way of encouraging one to to the next stage. It’s very kind of you to offer this program. May God bless you abundantly as nature teaches us that.

Unfortunately a lot of people will do a course and then stagnate, they will not use it to benefit other people. People do courses because they are bored and not really interested in promoting green wellness. Basically those not really interested will waste the course creating a cost, then those who really want to learn and dont have money (like me) wont be able to afford the cost. People passionate about herbology will use the knowledge in everyday life.
The seeds program is encouragement to learn as much as can be learnt and hopefully learners will help add value to the course through their comments and research they do.

I think the Seeds program will be an incentive for me to keep going and not drop my herbology studies for a little while to come back to it later. As a SAHM to a 3 year old and a 4 month old, I’m not time-rich but this is also really important to me, and having some time constraints in order to achieve something (beyond simple knowledge!) will be a motivator to keep myself on track!

    Hi Di-Di

Firstly thank you for your seeds. Seed is supposed to multiply. You plant them with faith and watch them grow into a living plant with a purpose. Maybe you are sharing your seed because once upon a time someone shared some” hard worked for seed” with you. But first we need to prepare the soil to get the optimum growth from our seeds and the best “fruit” from our plant so in the end, we can share it again.

It is always beneficial to reward those who show diligence and commitment. And it is an encouragement to students to keep up by making the course a priority. It also benefits the teacher to have the students all moving ahead in a timely manner.
The seeds program is an enticement to continue studying after completing the initial introductory course.

    HI there Di-Di

I agree that it makes sense to only achieve the seeds if the lower levels are completed. Learning follows a designated path determined by those that have already completed the journey, so why try and reinvent the wheel.

Everything journey starts with a plan – so follow the steps laid out.

    Thanks
    Ruth.

As a normal educational institution, those who have the time and effort are those who receive the most monetary value from said institution. I appreciate the seeds program offering a monetary value off the price of courses. This can help me to advance faster than I normally would, albeit if I have the time at that moment. I am glad to know now about the time frame allotted and the importance of it to what this site deems a successful completion. That will be taken into account in a heavier manner than was with this first course.

I believe you are making the seeds “scholarships” available to only those who are serious because it they are showing a real interest and effort. If they aren’t going to put forth any effort it is really in my opinion wasted on them when someone else would really put it to good use.
I think the seeds will act as another incentive for me to continue on.

I think the scholarships are for those who work at the classes because that’s how it should be. That’s how other schools are too. There is no reason to take a class you are not going to try in. Learning is a blessing. I’m thankful you have these classes available. I’m a stay at home mom of 3 beautiful kiddos and my hubby, kids and I are low income. We do what we can with the blessings God has given us. With scholarships and lower cost classes I can help myself and family in living a healthier life along with helping others around me. Thank you again.

I think it’s fair to only give the people who really want the incentive to actually work for it rather than give them out to everyone. For me personally it’s a good incentive because I tend to lag and take my time if there is no set deadline. I’m brand new to herbalism and currently am only able to make a salve for my eczema but I’m really looking forward to learning on this course. It looks very concise, thorough, and well thought out.

What a genius incentive program you’ve developed! It’s a perfect blend of rewards to motivate continual forward momentum, but also personal investment to value the learning one receives. I love that! My only concern at this point is how many irons I have in my fire and feeling trepidations about the time I can realistically commit to this right now, but I want it so badly! I am a student of all learning and when I want to learn something, I go after it…and sometimes load myself with too much at once. LOL I think the program you’ve developed is quite genius. Thank you for your passion to teach others what you already know is of such great value on so many levels.

In reply to question 1, I find that people do the basic, read here and there, plant a few herbs, and that makes them an ” expert” in herbs and what is needed to heal someone. I personally find this dangerous thinking. I am all for us all learning new things on a superficial level if alll we want is to get a broad outline of what is around us. However if we are seriously wanting to do better and this leads into question 2 then for me its not about games. I grow herbs. Lots of us do. Many of them do not do fantastically and even those that do I really have no idea how they can help me and others. As we are filled with more and more “junk” food we are ppoisining ourselves. To what end? There are also people who just do not know the benefits and the joy of herbs. Some dont deven want to find out how to successfully cultivate them, but are willing to obtain theirs from people who care, who really care. thats how I see this course. I love my plants, and want to move to a level where I may be able to get other to do so too.
