I have never taken any kind of supplement, it seems like just another thing to have to worry about in the long run.

The shortfall on nutritional intake, was quite a shock. My question is – can we take the full spectrum of nutrients in through a diet ? I suppose not, as most fruit veg and proteins are treated with growth hormone, pestisides and antibiotics. The soil from which they need to withdraw the nutriets are artificially enhanced with chemicals, which result in soil that is literally “dead”. Except if we take control of our own soil and grow food that can sustain us .

Great question Salome. And a good answer as well. There is a lot of debate about this, but if one avoid the “nutrient robbers” – processed and refined foods – and follow a whole food eating plan, one can get very close to the ideal intake.
