1. 1 reading up on herbs and remedies and doing research. 6 Is also very important, mother’s milk actually already have a “pharmacy” inside it to assist a babies health and growth.
2. 8 Using your common sense is actually less common for some people than others. I don’t mean it in a disrespectful way, but some people will not think something through enough and then others will over think
I feel that all safety precautions are of equal concern. Never on Sunday is a new one for me. It will be easier to use this rule than trying to keep track of the weeks on and off of longer term use.
1. I think that the most important rule about using herbs for medicinal purposes is to “read up”. If a person truly does their homework and studies the herbs they are taking before using them then they should find out on their own what the other nine rules are just through research, tips, and learning about the world of herbs!
2. If we are being honest none of them surprised me. But it is becuase I remember who I was at the beginning of my journey and who I am now and I likely would have made several if not all of those mistakes had I not chosen to read up on it!
The funny thing is I only aspired to learn about a few herbs I could use in my skincare line to keep people’s skin feeling healthy and radiant and now I am on the clinical path reading anything I can and taking classes when I can hahaha. I am in a botanical skincare course right now learning about skin health and what contributes and how to discern between herbs to use for which purposes and I love it!
1. In my opinion, adhering to all the guiding rules or commandments is very important. Common sense will help to take caution on all the rules especially concerning pregnant Women and children under the age of 2 years.
2. Taking precautions in giving herbs to older citizens like age 65 and above surprises me. It is good to know that they become more sensitive to drugs and it may cause reactions in them. So they need lower dosage which can be increased with time if need be.
Taking a break is as good as using the herb. Not surprised by anything as comon sence is the logic way. If not sure, do not use or get alternative advice from someome more experienced than you. Keeping to the dosage may take longer to get desired result, but there is a reason for doing so, so dont follow your own train of thought. It will come back to bite you.
3. Stick with the recommended dose and never exceed it. Lavender pumped through the air conditioner in a hospital reduced the reliance on sleeping medication. The same procedure upped the dose of lavender. Lavender used in small amounts apparently relaxes but in large doses it has the opposite effect.
Surprised at number 6 – don’t give herbal medication to under two year olds. Interesting but not surprising that the dosage is lowered with geriatrics
The most important guides for me are
– Take a break from the treatment
– Respect individuality
– If you are not sure of an herbs appropriateness, do not use it.
Most important ones for me are
1. No herbs for babies under 2, pregnant women
2. If in doubt about a herb’s identity do not use it
3. Take a break and let the body readjust
4. Remember you’re an amateur not a highly trained individual!
number 2. iam wondering if it is because we can only trust the conventional medicine or what is the reason. i know their bodies are fragile but they do get sick and need some kind of medication. couldn’t it be we need to take seroius caution, than not at all?
Rule number 1 and 3.
I was not aware that you need to take a break , but it’s good advise – perhaps to alternate between herbs. As my interest is to make Herbal tea, it makes sense to alternate between herbs. I will also be sure to check if my family and friends have any allergies, before serving them the Herbal tea’s.
Most important is to to your research, be educated and know what you are doing when practicing herbology.
Stick to recommended dosages and never give herbal medicine to pregnant women.
Use your common sense.
All are important and i believe common sense are based on experience but I would have like to see the arm put test or lower lip test to see if someone does not have a allergic reaction to any plant
All of it is important, but I think it is best to use common sense and study the herbs first with the dosages before jumping in and start to use without the proper knowledge and keep to the guidelines.
All are very important, but to me rhe most imoortant is to consult with primary physician, and i always advise my clients to do so before starting any protocols i devise for them. The one that surprised me was the senior one.
I like 8 because it is always good to stop to see how something is working for you. I like 9 because without commen since you will not get anywhere in life. I like 10 because making sure that someone that knows about aromatherapy is best.
Worth remembering all 10, definately. I only remembered 6
I always believed that myth that herbs take longer before we see results!!! I am so glad that I’ve learned otherwise now…
Research, common sense, understand that you are different and know yourself, always consult your health care provider. Which I think should be number 1.
Basically all of them are important, no 8, never on a Sunday came not really as a surprise but more as a confirmation as I also believe in using or doing something for a week and break/fast for a day.
Well i think having common sense is always at the top of my list, common sense is the thing that will tell us to read up more about a herb, it would tell us to respect our individuality, it would tell us to be cautious if we are pregnant so to me common sense is definitely the most important.
Sticking to recommended doses comes as a surprise to me because of the fact that everyone is different, not only will the herb vary for use by an individual so will the doses. An older person with a gastric ulcer cannot take the same doses as a recommended dose for your average individual. The dosage will also increase slightly above the recommended dose if the person is over weight. A recommended dosage is a guideline and you need to take into account the actual individual.

1. The ones I feel is most important respect your individuality and dosages are important.
2. None surprised me.
1. To read up on it.
2. Never on Sunday’s.
1. Use your common sense
2. Never on Sunday’s
All of them are important to me, especially the research one.
Number 6 stood out the most as I was not aware that children under 2 are not allowed to use herbs.
Remember 6.
8. Never on Sunday
6. Not children under 2 – thought you would not give to kids …

If you see anything out of the usual stop and consult to exclude problems. All are important.
Never on a Sunday. Rest
I think they are all equally important when used with common sense. I also think taking a break during treatment is necessary for recovery.
1. Always use your common sense. If in doubt don’t do it.
2. Never on sundays
common sense is my top one and the one that surprize me is the one about not giving it to children under 2
9 common sense is the most important and sacred ancient voice that we have to adhere to.
. Listen to the ancestors with meditation.

1. 1 Read up
2. 9 – always heard medicine takes few months to work
I think number 6 never give to children under.
None came as a surprise to me being that they are all mostly common sense and good advice.
The most important guides for me are
– Take a break from the treatment
– Respect individuality
– If you are not sure of an herbs appropriateness, do not use it.
6. Respect your individuality
* Before taking any herbs read up on it.
*. Think twice before jumping on a herb bandwagon.

1, 2, 3,5 and 6
Most important ones for me are
1. No herbs for babies under 2, pregnant women
2. If in doubt about a herb’s identity do not use it
3. Take a break and let the body readjust
4. Remember you’re an amateur not a highly trained individual!
1,2,3,9 and 10.
Surprise to me was no. 8. Challenge the treatment by taking a break.
1, 2, 3,5 and 6 I think are quite important
9, Common sense/intuition. Our bodies are constantly telling us whats wrong and if we learn to listen we will hear what needs to be done.
number 2. iam wondering if it is because we can only trust the conventional medicine or what is the reason. i know their bodies are fragile but they do get sick and need some kind of medication. couldn’t it be we need to take seroius caution, than not at all?
common sense is always the most important.
I was not surprised by any of them.
I’m just a little confused about how herbs can endanger your soul unless you are intentionally participating in magickal practices.
2 is a big one in my opinion. I believe in making sure I know that I know that I know! 🙂
Number 3 and 8
Proceed with Caution, and know your herbs. Research.
Surprised at the need to take a herb break.
Most important is to to your research, be educated and know what you are doing when practicing herbology.
Stick to recommended dosages and never give herbal medicine to pregnant women.

1. Most important to me is read up on the herb, know what you are taking. And use your common sense.
2. No surprise, just learning
All are very important, but to me rhe most imoortant is to consult with primary physician, and i always advise my clients to do so before starting any protocols i devise for them. The one that surprised me was the senior one.
1. All of the 10 are important, but what stood out for me is:
* We’re all different, what works for the other might not work for me.
2. Never heard of number 8 and would like to know more about it.
My opinion the most important rule is consult your heath care provider.
Common sense came as a bit of a suprise to me as one of the rules.
no 1 Before you take any herb read up on it
9 . use common sence
There are two I think are really important
1 do not give two children younger then two
2 do not give to pregnant woman
I have been around meds so not much surprises me
I like 8 because it is always good to stop to see how something is working for you. I like 9 because without commen since you will not get anywhere in life. I like 10 because making sure that someone that knows about aromatherapy is best.
Worth remembering all 10, definately. I only remembered 6

Basically all of them are important, no 8, never on a Sunday came not really as a surprise but more as a confirmation as I also believe in using or doing something for a week and break/fast for a day.
All are common sense but I will admit I’ve never heard of number 8.
Herbal guidlines important to me. 1,2,3,4. No are a surprise to me, they are as number says, common sense guidlines.
Use your common sense.
No surprises really. Most of these are common sense.
