I will remember #7 because I get very excited to share new found information and I just thought what if I don’t know what other medication someone is taking and what the interaction would be between the herb and the pharmaceuticals.
1. The most important in my opinion is rule #2. Don’t take the herb ID for granted. Not that the others such as dosage, reading up, precautions etc are less important. It’s like in diagnostics class, we learned about the importance of diagnosing correctly. If you misdiagnose, even the best remedy won’t help.
2. The one that came as a surprise is #8: Never on a Sunday. A smart way to know if the herb is truly useful to the individual
4. Respect your individuality – It makes total sense but I have never thought about it. its totally true that even something like plain ol mint can be a great cure-all to some but literally gut-wrenching to others. So it would seem to extrapolate to the fact that not all herbs will be good for all people.
I think number 1 to me was the most important because ultimately all the other rules follow it. Example: you cannot know what the proper dosage is or how to administer it if you haven’t properly studied it.
1-First 2. Read up on the herb and when buying a product, be sure that the binomial name of the herb is displayed.
2- Therapeutic treatment for toddlers under the age of 2.
#9 Use your common sense is definitely the most important and encompasses all of the others with the exception of Never on Sundays. I had never heard of that, but it makes a lot of sense.
do not give to children under age.if pregnant or nursing use them with caution.respect your individuality.stick to the recommended dosage.before taking any herb read up on it.
I think #1 is the most important. If the herb is researched properly most of the other rules will come to light here, especially as far as dosage and adverse effects are concerned as well as other illnesses that can be treated with a specific herb.
All the rules are important, but nr 3 is sticking out. Stick to the dosage. I’ll would say nr 10 leaves me sceptic. The doctors and the pastors I know, will only send you to the pharmacy. Herbs are useless and of the devil. I’ll skip nr 10 and rather double up on nr 9.
I think ALL the rules are important. The most important to me is 4: respect individuality. I personally cannot use stevia as it drops my BP in my boots, and used over time causes me to not ovulate! Yet obviously plenty of people can use it safely, even enjoy it!
I think #1 may be the most important. I need to be aware of the facts before I start using it.
Never on a Sunday surprised me. But it is a good principle to follow to prove effectiveness.
I think 1 is the most important. Never trust and follow blindly.
Most surprising for me was Never on Sundays. I wouldn’t have thought taking a break was the thing to do.
The common sense guideline stuck out to me. Common sense seems to be lacking a lot these days. Not sure if any came as a surprise but I really never thought of the name being so important. So I guess it was a lightbulb moment. Make sure the name is correct because even just a little difference in the plant can cause very different results.
1. I think the most important rule to follow is to research whatever herb you’re interested in. It’s just plain reckless to ingest or topically use something without fully understanding what it’s pros and cons are.
2. I was a little surprised that some herbs have “bandwagons” but I guess with all of the health trends out there it only makes sense that herbalism and certain herbs should fall into that category.
I didn’t find any of the guidelines out of the ordinary; pretty much a common-sense approach. Whether it’s a herbal remedy or a pharmaceutical pill I’ve always researched and opted for a second opinion. If I were allowed to sue the medical industry in Canada for misdiagnosis I’d be one rich lady.
Tough question to answer, as they all seem important. I’m going to choose the first, though, as doing the research well may cover many of the other guidelines.
None really surprised me, but I guess I hadn’t really thought about what age is safe to begin giving herbs, so number 6 had the most “new” information for me.
I think the most important rule is the first one: research the herb you want to use properly!
None of the other rules really surprised me – they all make perfect sense.

I will remember #7 because I get very excited to share new found information and I just thought what if I don’t know what other medication someone is taking and what the interaction would be between the herb and the pharmaceuticals.
I feel that all 10 are important… but if i have to put down numbers 5 and 2 would be important for me.

Never on a Sunday surprised me. But it is a good principle to follow to prove effectiveness.
I think 9 is the most important, it basically covers all the others. I can’t say that any of these came as a surprise
number 1 stands out for me in being the most important.
I was surprised by 8. Never on Sunday’s
I think 1 is the most important. Never trust and follow blindly.
Most surprising for me was Never on Sundays. I wouldn’t have thought taking a break was the thing to do.
I think number 9 is likely the most important
I was a little surprised by number 7, but it makes sense
I am printing these. I think the most important one to me would be #1…do my research and only trust respected sources.
I will print these out and put them in the front of my folder.
Not to jump on bandwagons and to remember to research

Using your common sense and never on Sundays
There is 2 that is important to me:
Before you take any herb, read up on it, and
Using your common sense.
The most important safety guideline in my opinion is using my common sense.
What came as a surprise to me is Never on a Sunday, I must challenge the treatment.
4. Respect your individuality
8. Never on Sunday’s was a surprise, but good advice.
Be cautious, respect and use common sense
Do your research, make sure your resources are credible.#1
Loved #8 I believe about getting off herb for a period of time to check reactions.
1,4, and 9. “Never on Sunday”, I wouldn’t say surprised me, but this makes a lot of sense to challenge and to see if it necessary.
2 – making sure of the name, working with the correct herb
9 – common sense
#1 and #9 were the most important in my opinion.
They weren’t surprising.
#1.
None surprised me.
Number 8 shocked me, but it did make sense though.
#1 and #8
I would for someone my age #1 and #10 although as a herbologist helping other people they are all important

Not necessarily a surprise but the Respect for individuality is most important as people aren’t the same and as such not one size fits all
