The four essential qualities of a healer is: trust, faith, love, and humility. I believe this to be quite true, because you have to trust the doctor or God, or whoever to heal you. You need faith to believe it will work, and everyone needs love to feel complete, and to be humble to know that other’s can help you. I feel in my own personally life that God is healing me and I have trust and have faith in him to make things right. This body that I have been given has a lot of health issues, and as I get older more and more health issues come to the forefront. I suffer from PIDD, but I know that I trust, have faith, and love God and the heath caregivers that are helping me. I feel humble to know that I am given a life to live everyday and to learn what I can about what God has provided in this world to help heal oneself.

Of course faith is important. The patient must have faith in the healer and the healer must have faith in herself. But without God healing is not possible. Did he not give us the plants to heal with?

I agree with trust, faith, love and humillity as good principles, but I think it takes more than that. All things are connected and a good healer will also be able to use some of the tools of the “unseen world” (like merely a sixth sense in some cases), to heal and pick the right herbs.

Faith is important to healing. “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he…” as such if a person doesn’t believe he can be healed no amount of medication will help. S/he has already lost the battle

Yes, faith in God is very important, because He gives you the wisdom to diagnose correctly and to choose the most appropriate remedy for the specific condition. He blesses the working of the medicine and is the ultimate healer.

Yes I believe faith is very important as the human is so much more than a physical being. There are spiritual laws at work around and within us and to really be successful as a healer, you need to be part of it by believing.

I know that Faith plays a major part in healing. For instance, my mom was sick. She threw away the pills; which she no longer believed in. So now they were killing her! She put all Faith in YAH and now is healed almost 20 years later.

    Mark 5:34
[34]And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
    Luke 17:19
[19]And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

Love, -because one cannot health without loving others and that blocks the healing gift.
Trust -trust in the process, trust in others and trust in self.
Faith – believe in what one is doing and that it woks, but most importantly that it comes from a superior source!
Unity – seeing everyone as you see yourself and differentiate people by race, age, gender, religion etc.

And yes I believe in God and respect those who do not but have learnt that even those who do not belief in God have something or someone superior to ground them spiritually. I am a firm believer in God and genesis makes it explicitly clear that God created plants both for food and healing, i trust in that and believe in that. Big pharma has brainwashed a lot of people in believing in toxic chemicals that promise healing but cause an array of more diseases. My faith is in God and God alone.

I must agree that trust, faith, love and humility are necessary. I agree with the verses that are shared in previous comments. I do not recall seeing ‘faith without works is dead”. I also think that we need works with our faith – put our minds to prayer and our hands to work as we learn about and benefit from the amazing plants our creator made for our health, healing and pleasure!

    2. What is your opinion? Is faith important to healing? Briefly explain why or why not?
Faith to me is belief in yourself and the power You weal inside. You and only You can heal yourself because You believe that You can. It is not someone else has a power but only You. Thoughts become things and You creating Your life.

    1. The qualities of a Healer are

    Trust- In his product.
Faith- faith in God the great and ultimate Healer.
Love- Love for the sick, desiring healing for him.
Humility- Serving mankind with humility, not arrogating any power to self. Acknowledging God as the giver of the knowledge to heal.

    2. I believe that Faith is important in healing because God Almighty is the Ultimate Healer himself, Herbalist and Western Medicine can try but it takes God to heal. This suggests to me that healing is Spiritual and Supernatural. God said in His Word in Exodus 15:26 …’I am the LORD that healeth thee’

I think humility is perhaps as crucial to me as faith in the healing process and they are very interconnected. The humility to realise you are merely the conduit of God’s love, the faith that gives you the strength to explore and dare. I was so proud of the south africans creating their own low cost respiratory machines at the beginning of the covid crisis. n boer maak n plan and then sets sail on choppy waters with nothing but God’s love at his feet. Trust and love are sustained by these two and perhaps impossible without them.

    1. Trust, Faith, Love, and Humility are definitely essential qualities of a healer, even if healing only oneself.
    2. Faith is required as a healer, particularly with plant medicine, because there are aspects that are beyond our knowing (Humility) and there is a synergistic relationship between plants and animals.

Even if one does not believe in God, faith is still an essential part of the healing processes. One must have faith in the earth, faith in the medicine and faith in themselves at the very least, so they can perform effective treatment. We need to trust in nature, trust in the magical powers it offers us and call upon those powers to do our work of healing.

I love who God, Yeshua is and how He displays His goodness through Nature and all its beautiful attributes. It is well said that the Healer should embody trust, faith, love and humility. These are all of Yahweh’s true attributes and to disconnect from these would be a slap in the face of our sweet Abba. He is so kind to give us all that is needed for health and connection to the environment we live in. I believe the beauty of discovering what God is like is found in the seeking. Seeking how plants play a role in our longevity and health is part our pursuit of Yahweh.

four essential qualities of a healer: trust, faith, love, and humility.

Is faith essential in healing? A definite yes
As an indigenous healer I believe that for herbs to be effective, a healer should communicate with them before they can be applied to any purpose. The healer asks the herbs to perform a certain deed for him/her and the herbs in turn respond to the request and bring health to the sick person.
Oven ordinary plants can cure diseases that have baffled experts if the healer knows how to communicate well with them, so it is not the plants but the faith of the practitioner and the connection he/she have with nature and the creature as the most supreme energy or force.

The essential qualities of a healer is Trust, faith, love and Humility.

Of course Faith is of utmost importance to Healing, while God has given us the ability to study and become doctors, so that we can be treated with medicine – He is the true Healer. In faith, if we believe we can be healed.

“Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.” ~ James 5:14-15

It is also important to know that sometimes God does not allow us to be healed, sometimes people become ill and die. That does not mean that you did not have enough faith, it means God has a greater purpose.

A person can only heal when his mentally in control and know that he will be cured and want to be cured and prepared to go the extra mile to get cured. You need to believe, in God and your self. You need to have faith that this is possible. You need to love your self and know that there is God given purpose for you to be looking after your self and get well.
