My vegetable garden is 5x2m divided into 6 beds with enough space between the beds to weed and compost the beds. Working this patch for 3 years , some beds I used seeds and others seedlings. I did start with only 2 beds but it accumulated to 5 beds this year. If possible I change the crops in the bed to something new but still keep companion planting in mind.
Since I live in a rental, I plan on using pots and containers for my food garden. I plan on growing mainly herbs to start and maybe some easy veggies and a lemon tree in a pot.
I started with 4x1m square beds and I bought the seedlings from a nursery, this made it easy for me. Now 1 month down the line, seeing how well they are growing, I think I am ready to plant the next 2 beds. Buying the seedlings took a lot of the stress away, but I will in future like to try and grow from seed.

I have my herb garden in pots and will start preparing my veggie garden as soon as lockdown is over…
My veggie garden is about 2 x 2m. My herb garden is much bigger and much harder work to keep.
