I have 6ft concrete walls around my yard but the neighbours on the sides and back have enormous trees on their side next to the walls which gave big shadows on my side. This means very precise planning and measuring on my side, but realised I will still have enough space for a vegetable garden. the best sun in my backyard is more north-east. The sun in my front garden is more north-west and I have enough space for a herb garden, not to big but I a large paved space where I plan to use pots/containers to plant more herbs. With our strong borehole, we have enough water for the gardens with irrigation all over.
The only available spot in my garden is in the further south-west corner, but on the plus side, there are no obstacles or large trees, the spot receives full sun, whole day. Possibly to much sun?? but I will only know that in summer.

I have a limited garden so will have to place pots facing north to grow my herb garden.
