Vangueria infausta is one of South Africa’s more popular veld fruits. The fruit has a pleasant sweet-sour, mealy taste. It also makes a good jelly. The plant is used extensively. It is most common in open, exposed grassland. Vangueria infausta is well suited to a smaller garden or on a rockery. (Wildflower Nursery)
