I find that one of the biggest obstacles to transition into being a wellness coach is our mindset. There is resistance in our minds due to our fears, doubts, or self-worth issues. Maybe the people around us don’t believe we can do it. Maybe we think we don’t have the time, money, or know-how. What we may actually lack is clarity, confidence,
For someone, clarity means vision or mission and how to get there. Why do you want to be a wellness coach? What do you want to achieve by this? A better lifestyle for yourself, change of career, make a difference in someone’s wellness or health? A six-figure business? What strategy are you going to use to find the people that would need your service? The world, the way we work, and the way we connect are undergoing a massive restructuring on a global scale. It seems that it is almost a question of survival bringing yourself online. Perhaps you feel this is too overwhelming, you fear failure or you doubt in yourself, thinking your ideas aren’t good enough, who would want your service, etc, or have ‘what if’ thoughts.
Perhaps you realise how much work and time you would really need to invest to set yourself up on the internet, and that scares you. If you are a complete beginner to online tools, I highly recommend you take the free Google’s Fundamentals of digital marketing course (on Google Garage), which will fill the digital knowledge gaps you may have.
Don’t let any limiting beliefs hold you back just because you think you can’t work through them.
Becoming a natural health advocate/coach/entrepreneur there are also many external challenges that you will have to face. Not to rain even more on your parade, but we are living in a world of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity. Furthermore, the alternatives to western medicine science wellness practices are increasingly referred to as quackery.
Know this. Keep trusting yourself, keep loving what you do, keep learning, know the value of what you can give, be courageous, keep co-creating a better human-centric and nature-centric future for us all. Be in it for the long haul. We need you.
